African-American Literary Guild  
AITP To promote and develop interest in data processing and computer applications and provide a forum for discussion and provide activities which will promote interest in the data processing field.
American Marketing Assn. To encourage and uphold sound, honest practices, and to keep marketing operatins on a high ethical plane; to foster scientific study and research in the field of marketing, promote friendly relations between students, faculty and business people.
American Society of Civil Engineers To encourage the development of a professional conscieosness, to afford an opportunity for CET students to become acquainted and practice working together effectively.
American Society of Interior Design
American Society of Mechanical Eng. Promotes interest and the advancement of knowledge in all branches of mechanical engineering. Membership is open to all engineering students.
Anthropological Society Bring together all students interested in the field of anthropology in order to promote the understanding of other cultures. We shall be dedicated to being an educational outlet to the students of Georgia Southern University in all anthropological areas

Association of Pre-Health Professionals To unite, represent, and assist pre-professional students seeking to enter into the health fields.
Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting) A national accounting fraternity which encourages and recognizes scholastic and professional excellence in the field of accounting. Membership is limited to accounting majors who have high scholastic achievements.
Beta Gamma Sigma (Bus. Admin) A national honor society which encourages and rewards scholarship and accomplishment among undergraduate and graduate students of business and administration. Membership is limited to those of high scholarship.
Biology Organization of Grad Studies To provide a liason between Biology grad. Students and the faculty and admin. At GSU, the group is concerned with the rights and responsibilities of GA in the Biology dept.
BOGS Oversee the formation of rights & responsibilities of Graduate Assistants in the department of Business jointly with faculty and administration. To advise representatives that participate in meetings & on committees, promote graduate student involvement
Chemistry Club To promote interest and study in the field of chemistry.
Collegiate Middle Level Association A professional organization that provides support and encouragement for college students preparing to become middle level teachers.
Construction Guild To provide hands-on experience to its members while promoting good relations with school officials and local members of the construction industry.
Creative Writer's Club To promote creative writing within diverse traditions, which include fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, drama, and screen writing.
Debate Team To encourage members of the GSU student body to participate in events which will develop speech and debating skills.
Delta Sigma Pi (Professional Business Fraternity) Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Design Group (The) To promote the furthering of our design process and creativity through the exchange of ideas and information in a constructive environment. Provide educational opportunities and resources beyond typical classroom instruction in graphic design.
Eagle Student Athletic Training Assn To provide allied health care education to its members, the student body of Georgia Southern University, and the community; while promoting and representing the career of Sports Medicine and the Eagle Sports Medicine Association.
Economics Club Dedicated to promoting an understanding of the role economics plays in modern society and committed to assisting students in their academic and professional development.

Graphics and Printing Assn. Promote awareness of the Printing Industry, increase knowledge through hands on experience, field trips, etc, and sponsor an Industrial Mentor Program.
GSU Stand To educate the Georgia Southern and Southeast Georgia communities about past, ongoing, and potential genocides, and advocate on behalf of the victims of such conflicts.
Health and Physical Education Promote interest and active participation in the fields of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation; strive to create an air of friendship, leadership, and fair play throughout all areas of campus life.

National Assn. of Black Accountants To represent the interests of current and prospective monority accounting, finance, economics and all other business related majors at GSU. To promote and develop the professional skills of our members.
National Black Law Student Assn. Articulate and promote the needs and interest of black pre-law students. To utilize the collective resources available to the chapter for the creation of a maintenance of a pre-law school environment that is conducive to black students effective study.
National Black MBA Association As a professional membership organization of graduates of color with MBAs, advanced degrees, and entrepreneurs, the mission of the national organization is “to increase the number as well as the diversity of successful blacks in the business community".
National Residence Hall Honorary To recognize those individuals who have demonstrated positive leadership and outstanding service to residence hall life at Georgia Southern University and to serve as a stimulus for developing residence hall involvement.
National Society of Black Engineers To associate ourselves to development of intensive programs for increasing Black and other ethnic minority participation in the fields of engineering and engineering technology.
Non-Traditional and Single Parent Student Support Association Provide orientation to university life and ongoing support to all non-traditional and single-parent students.
Phi Alpha Delta To create an environment conducive to furthering education of students wishing to further their learning in the filed of law.
Phi Sigma Pi (Interdisciplinary) Open to undergraduate students of Georgia Southern University who have achieved at least a 3.0 adjusted grade point average, completed a minimum of one semester of college work, and still have at least a year left to complete.
Phi Upsilon Omicron (Home Economics) Membership is based on the scholastic standing and leadership qualities of students who are between their second semester as a sophomore and first semester as a senior, and are ranked in the upper 35 percent of their class.
Philosophical Society Provide a forum for the discussion of philosophical ideas; and to give philosophically minded people an occasion to assemble and engage one another outside of the classroom.
Prestige Help students gain practical experience through a variety of media sources and helping the GSU campus and Statesboro community through promotional activities.
Psychology Coalition Allow people majoring, minoring, or simply interested in the field of psychology to meet and participate in psychology-related activities. Shall be dedicated to increasing members' through psychology-related lectures, field-trips and other activities.

ROTC Cadet Association Provides incentives for increasing military skills, assists in the development of general military background, and provides a means for cadets to associate with each other and with military personnel.
Sigma Alpha Lambda Recognize and reward academic achievement, promote enhanced academic performance through mentoring, create opportunities for community service and develop leadership skills through resources, life experiences & participation in community based mentoring.
Society for Human Resource Mgmt. To educate students and to keep them up to date on new developments in the field of HRM. To develop a nucleus of truly professional human resource managers for the future.
Society of Communication Scholars Promote academic achievement in the communication arts and speech communication discipline; to promote communication as a skill; to provide academic and social fellowship for majors and minors.
Society of Manufacturing Engin. Furthers the scientific knowledge of the manufacturing field. Membership is open to students interested in industry.
Society of Women Engineers Promote and encourage women engineers to attain high levels of educational professional achievement. Participate in activities that help promote the overal mission of the Society of Women Engineers.
Sociological Society Provides students with an impartial forum for the discussion of public issues and enlarges the professional opportunities of sociology students. Membership is open to all students.
Southern Creative Anachronists To advance historical knowledge, specifically of the period between 600 and 1600 of the current era, and to provide historically accurate education by the practice of the skills and crafts of the same period so that they not be lost.
Southern Exercise Science To prepare educated students for employment in the field of exercise science and to participate in community service programs and projects focusing on the practice of human movement and health.
Sport Management Majors Club The purpose of this club is to associate and gain managerial experience and leadership skills; apply and broaden the knowledge of sport management through community projects and peer interactions.

Talon Club To promote varsity sports and school pride to the students at Georgia Southen and the community. To participate in all varsity athletic events at Georgia Southern University as spectators and fans.

GSU Toastmasters Gavel Club To provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
Habitat for Humanity Helps raise money and builds housing for those in need and educates about the need for low-income housing. Membership is open to all students.

Governing Council
Organization Description
Interfraternity Council Serves as the coordinating and programming agency for interfraternity affairs and as a positive voice with the university and community.
National Pan-Hellenic Council Chartered Fall 1999, is composed of five historically African-American, Greek-lettered fraternities and sororities.
Panhellenic Council The programming and governing body of the six national NPC sororities. Every woman who joines a NPC sorority becomes a member of the Panhellenic Association.
Residence Hall Association Coordinates social and eucational programs for students in residence halls. RHA represents the collective interest of the students and serves as a channel of communication between hall councils and the campus community.
Southern Ambassadors To encourage prospective students to attend GSU, to enhance present student involvement in the University and to facilitate an active relationship between students and alumni.
Student Government Association Make the lives of the students that attend GSU the best it can be. Your SGA is the official voice of the student body. Student Government is welcome to everyone and is a place where you can go if you have a problem on this campus.

Organization Description
Alpha Delta Pi Founded at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia in 1851 and at GSU in March 1968, seeks to improve the mental, moral, social, and academic standards of its members. Membership is open to qualified female students.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. the first African-American sorority, was founded on the campus of Howard University on January 15,1908. Led by Ethel Hedgeman Lyle, sixteen ladies saw the necessity to unite themselves together and maintain high morals, poise, leadership qualities, and to be of “Service to All Mankind”.
Alpha Omicron Pi Founded at Barnard College of Columbia University January 1897 and established at GSU April 1999, strives to encourage a spirit of fraternity and love among its members, and to stand at all times for integrity, dignity and scholarship.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha seeks to stimulate the ambition of its members; to encourage the highest and noblest from manhood, and to aid humanity in its efforts to achieve higher social, economic, and intellectual status.
Alpha Tau Omega Originally Delta Pi Alpha, became a national chapter May 1968. Founded at Virginia Military Institute 1865 binds men together in a brotherhood bsed on eternal and immutable principles, with a bond as strong and lasting as humanity.
Delta Chi Originally founded as a law fraternity in 1890 and soon thereafter opened their doors to men of all study areas.

Omega Psi Phi To come together to form a more perfect union among college men, to promote the principles of manhood, scholarship, perserverance, and uplist as a means of furthering brotherly love. To unite men of similar ideas of fellowship.
Phi Beta Sigma Founded nationally 1914 at Howard University, embraces the principles of brotherhood, scholarship, and service. The fraternity is open to qualified male students.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Established at the University of Alabama March 1856 and founded at GSU April 1989, promotes leadership, brotherhood, and scholastic achievement. Membership is open to qualified male students.
Sigma Chi Founded October 1966 as a local social fraternity, seeks to serve the campus, community, and nation; and strives to further the fellowship of its members. Membership is open to qualified male students.
Sigma Phi Epsilon Chartered April 1993, promotes the principles of virtue, diligence, and brotherly love with emphasis on being a scholar, a leader, a gentlemen, and an athlete. Membership is open to qualified male students.
Sigma Pi Founded 1968 and reestablished on campus in 1995, promotes brotherhood, scholarship, character, chivalry, and service to God and man. Membership is open to qualified male students.
Tau Kappa Epsilon Chartered 1967 at Georgia Southern University, promotes and secures the intellectual, educational, social, and recreational benefits from fellowship among its members. Membership is open to qualified male students.

Beta Beta Beta (Biology) National Honor Society for undergraduate students interested in biology. Beta Beta Beta Biological Society emphasizes in a three-fold program: Stimulation of scholarship; dissemination of scientific knowledge; and promotion of biological research.
Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society To Promote academic achievement, career development education and campus involvement.
Golden Key (Interdisciplinary) To recognize and encourage scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate fields of study; unite with collegiate faculties and administrators in developing/maintaining high standards of education; open to top 15% of juniors and seniors.

WVGS is a student opporated radio station that combines real radio experince and education all while serving the community.

George Anne The George-Anne is the campus student newspaper. The G-A is distributed on and near campus on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the school year at no charge.

Organization Description
African Student Association Promote the exchange of ideas on, and an awareness of events pertinent to Africa in the Diaspora and encourage cultural and social exchanges with the American community and other student organizations.
Black Student Alliance A coalition of students and organizations committed to the principles of educational, social and cultural awareness for, and public service to, Georgia Southern students, faculty, staff and area residents.
Chinese Student and Scholar Assn. To improve understanding and communication the members.  To promote and encourage an active involvement of the programs of GSU and to encourage the discussion of opinions and issues related to the culture and education among members.

Korean Student Alliance Provide a forum for student and faculty exposure to and education in the Korean culture.  Provide a resource for mentoring and leadership of students, primarily those of Korean extraction.  Serve the university and the community through volunteerism.
NAACP Seeks to improve the political, educational, social and economic status of minority groups.  Membership is open to all students.
National Council of Negro Women, Inc. To harness the power of African American and other women of color to ensue full access and participation in the socioeconomic and political systems which impact upon the quality of life for all persons.
Neocentric Souls Poetry Troupe To unite students through literature and the spoken word.
South Asian Student Assn. To increase the understanding and cultural get-together, between the students of south Asian origin and to increase the awareness among the new incoming students.
Spanish Club Promotes interest in the Spanish Language and acquaints members with the customs and interests of the Spanish-speaking people.  Membership is open to registered students interested in Spanish.
Student Alliance of International Affairs To unify students seeking a major or minor in International Studies or International Trade to provide a forum for discussion and to heighten awarness about issues currently facing the global community.

Organization Description
Amnesty International To promote awareness and respect for human rights among the student body and surrounding community without regard or participation in any political agenda or platform (entirely non-partisan effort).
College Republicans To make known and promoe the principles of the Republican Party; to recruit GSU students as members of the club; develop skills and leadership abilities among Republican students as preparation for future service by them to the party.

Anime Crew  
D.I.M.E.S. To promote self-expression through fashion, graphic arts, photography and set design. To expose students highly interested in the fashion industry to various projects, aspects and opportunities in a positive and more stable atmosphere with activities.
Dyverzion Dance Team Promote unity to all ethnicities, genders, race, and creed throughout the community and on the Georgia Southern University's campus and to assist in the entertainment process on campus and to aid in recruitment of incoming students.
Eagle Entertainment Student council dedicated to providing quality entertainment/social activities for the GSU students and community.  Team Leaders recruit and maintain a team of student volunteers who are instrumental in the production of events.
Forte-Georgia Southern Step Team The purpose is to provide the student body with a new form of expression in performance.
K.H.A.O.S.  
Show Choir To provide the student body with a new style of performing arts.  To assist those interested in developing a stronger voice, as well as a more experienced dancing profile. To participate in shows, community service and other social events.
On Pointe To unite ethnicities by showing an appreciation for the cultural arts through dance and poviding entertainment at Georgia Southern University.
Southern Explosion The dance team will entertain, represent Georgia Southern University, serve the community and broaden the spectrum of individual experiences in organized competitions.
Swing Cat Society To provide swing instruction to members of the society, students, faculty, and staff of Georgia Southern University, and to the general public.
Theatre and Performance To provide to the students of Georgia Southern University the opportunity and means to gain practical experience in all phases of the theatre available to this organization.

Organization Description
Baseball Club To promote baseball both intellectually and physically on the Georgia Southern campus, organize games and functions in the purpose of gaining interest, fulfill ambitions, promote good sportsmanship, and  unify this student body under one name.
Billiard Club Provide students with activities in Pocket Billiards that incorporate teamwork, sportsmanship, competition and continuous improvement in the student's level of playing.
Climbing Club To provide a set structure for a group of individuals who all share a common interest in the sport of rock climbing and to assist in education of techniques and safety of the sport.
Cycling Promote the sport of road and mountain bicycling through participation in and sponsorship of bicycle races, rides and other activities.
Disc Golf Club To promote and play the sport of disc golf at Georgia Southern University.
Ducks Unlimited The mission of Ducks Unlimited is to fulfill the annual life cycle needs of North American waterfowl by protecting, enhancing, restoring and managing important wetlands and associated uplands.
Eagle Motorsports The advancement and dissemination of knowledge of the theory and practice of engineering.
Eagle Student Officials' Association Provide students an opportunity to develop as sport officials and to create officiating opportunities.  This association will promote sports officiating and provide services to the university community and surrounding area.
Equestrian Develops interest in equestrian activities and horsemanship and brings together collegiate horse owners and enthusiasts. Introduces members to equine activities in the area. Many members also join the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) and compete as a CRI club sport against other IHSA teams in the southeast.
Fencing Club Promotes fencing, develops skills in the art, and provides individual competition.  The club is open to students and faculty who have an interest in fencing.
Georgia Southern Swim Club  
Judo/Jiu-Jitsu To provide a forum for the practice and understanding of Midori Yama Jiu Jitsu and Kodokan Judo.
Kung Fu Club To  embrace the teachings of our style:  Hung-Sing Choy Lee Fut Gung Fu.  Prospective students will have the chance to learn self-defense, lion dancing and Chinese culture.
Racquetball Club Promote the sport of racquetball by sponsoring tournaments, holding demonstration events and rpoviding a competitive, yet cooperative environment with the purpose of gaining more interest, encouraging good sportsmanship, and the desire to succeed.
Rugby (Women's) Provides an opportunity for intercollegiate competition in rugby.  Membership is open to all students.
Ski/Snowboard Club To promote winter-sports among GSU students and raise awareness to global warming.
Soccer Club (Men's) To provide the opportunity to develop leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, and time management skills through the sport of soccer and to promote the game of soccer throughout the campus of Georgia Southern University
Soccer Club (Women's) To provide the opportunity to develop leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, and time management skills through the sport of soccer and to promote the game of soccer throughout the campus of Georgia Southern University
Striking Eagles at Georgia Southern To promote bowling at GSU as well as represent GSU in tournament play in ACUI as wellas CBUSA tournaments.
Table Tennis Club To improve in table tennis skills as well as have fun.
Tae Kwon Do Club Provide a constructive outlet for those who wish to learn more about the advanced forms of martial arts. The practitioner will learn flashy aerial displays through kicks and various flips.
Ultimate Frisbee To train a dedicated group of individuals to participate in ultimate frisbee tournaments.
Video Gamers Alliance To provide the Georgia Southern University community an opportunity to play and learn about video games.  To provide stress relieving activities and to give students a chance to excell as leaders.

Organization Description
Baptist Collegiate Ministries Provides opportunities for personal growth and service to others in the context of the Christian faith.  Membership is open to all interested students.
Campus Outreach To help students be successful in their spiritual life within their affinity group.
Catholic Newman Assoc. Promotes interest in the worship and activities of the Catholic Church.  Seeks to enlighten and bond fellow Christians in the pursuit of growth in faith, friendship, leadership, and service to others.
Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship To accommodate the Christian and the non-Christian's development in understanding the Christian worldview.  Although we are a Christian Fellowship, we have programs developed for both the Christian and non-Christian alike.
Chosen Generation College Ministry To assist students with their spiritual development while living according to biblical principles. We offer auxiliaries to students who wish to become actively involved in church while being partially supported by Agape Worship Center.
Christian Campus Fellowship Provide opportunities for Christian fellowship, worship, service, and study to the student body of Georgia Southern University.  Participate with other Georgia Southern religious organizations in philanthropic projects.
Commissioned II Love Campus Ministries For students to have Christian fellowship as well as sharing the love of God to others on campus.
Episcopal Campus Ministry Desire to maintain a missionary presence for our Christian faith at Georgia Southern University.  We desie to provide opportunities for fellowship, worship, and ministry among the students, faculty and staff.
Hillel Counselorship Fellowship of Jewish students.
L.I.F.E. To share Christ's love in a practical way on our campus.
Latter Day Saints Assist students in balancing their academic, social, cultural, and religious education.
True Worshipers Campus Fellowship To apply Old and New Testament scripture to everyday Christians life and to provide avenues of fellowship among Christians students.
Reformed University Fellowship Provides a ministry to students based on the teaching of Scripture and the beliefs of the Presbyterian church. Membership is open to any enrolled student.
Unitarian Universalist Ministry Promote and develop a safe, open-minded and tolerant atmosphere for worship and religious exploration.  To facilitate fair and balanced religious discussions and events on campus with the goal of genderal education & spiritual growth.
Voices in Ministry Reaches out to all students, Statesboro, and surrounding communities through gospel music.  Membership is open to all students.
Wesley Foundation Organizes and carries out the life work of the Methodist church.  Membership is open to all students.
