Residence Hall Council Application

Positional Explanations

The Hall Council President is responsible for chairing all Hall Council meetings for their hall, meet weekly with the Hall Council advisor, and oversee other Hall Council officers.

The Hall Council Vice President is responsible for attending weekly Hall Council meetings, assisting the President with keeping meetings in order, and effectively planning and providing programming to their hall throughout the year.

The Hall Council Secretary is responsible for recording the minutes during all Hall Council meetings, submitting the Hall Council Minutes to the RHA Secretary, and distributing the minutes to Hall Council members.

The Hall Council Treasurer is responsible for turning in the weekly Treasurer’s ledger to the RHA Treasurer, maintaining an accurate record of money that has been spent or allocated for Hall Council use, and keeping the Hall Council informed of the status of the budget.

The Hall Council Housing Communication Coordinator is responsible for representing their hall at RHA meetings every Monday night at 8 pm, informing Hall Council members of the activities of RHA, and informing RHA of the happenings in their hall.

The Hall Council Floor Representative is responsible for relaying information discussed during weekly hall council meetings to all residents on their floor.

All executive board positions are responsible for attending weekly Hall Council meetings!!

1. Campaigning after quiet hours is strictly prohibited.
2. Flyers, posters, and other physical publicity must be approved by University Housing prior to being posted around Residence Halls.
3. Eagle Village - Hanging flyers, posters, and other physical publicity on doors and walls is strictly prohibited.

In the case that you are elected as a Hall Council member, you will be required to attend the Leadership Training Workshop on Sunday, September 7th from 3pm-7pm. You will receive additional information after elections.
