WELCOME!

Thank you for your interest in the 2008-2009 Student Government Association!  It is always amazing to see students with a desire to become involved early in their collegiate careers. After clicking the link you will be referred to a form that we need you to fill out for review by the 2008-2009 Executive Board. We will be accepting applications during SOAR. At the end of the summer we will review the application and begin contacting students for interviews starting in August. Interviews will be held during the first two weeks of the semester. Again thank you for your interests in the Student Government Association, and we look forward to working with you!

Some things expected of a SGA Senator:

1.      Attend weekly meetings, as well as separate committee meetings.

2.      Check email, PO Box and voice mail regularly and respond in a timely manner.

3.      Be enthused about your organization! Spreading the word about many of the services and events that the SGA sponsors such as:

Legal Services, GSU Idol Auditions, and Student Appreciation Day, and many forums

4.      Maintain good conduct.  You are a representative of the university as well as the community

5.      Maintain a 2.5 GPA or better
